WebJan 26, 2010 · Fan clutch. I have a fan hub/clutch, that leaks air. can hear it hissing air. I put some soap & water on it. it leakes pretty good. I thought. A fellow truck driver looked at it & said, it is nothing to worry about. that he has seen even new or rebuilt one's leak. $550.00 for a rebuilt horton & $175.00 labor. is this a serious problem or just ... WebFeb 25, 2008 · I hope its a good motor, I just bought an 04 KW with a 450 ISX. Most all the truck dealers I've talked to say the ISX is better than the Accert Cat's and the 14.0 Detroits, the EGR valve is the only common problem. I have a '99 KW with a C-12 Cat that currently has a cracked block and will take about $15-18k to fix, no more yellow motors for me.

Or it might just be sticking and finally opens at a much higher temp.
